Data Deletion Policy for Duelo

This document explains how to delete your Duelo account and what happens to your data when you do. It is the page we give Google Play and Apple as our account-deletion URL.

Duelo is published by Keeda Studios. It was previously released as "Crossword Chaos" — if you installed an older version, this policy covers that account too.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Duelo.
  2. Tap your username, top-right on the home screen.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm in the dialog.

Deletion happens immediately. You do not need to contact us.

Method 2: By email

If you can't get into the app — lost device, can't sign in — email us instead:

  • To: support@keedastudios.com
  • Subject: Account Deletion Request
  • Include: your Duelo username, and anything else that identifies the account (the email or Apple/Google account you signed in with, roughly when you created it).

We may ask you to verify ownership before we delete anything — that check exists to stop someone else deleting your account. We respond within 48 hours.

What Gets Deleted

Permanently removed:

  • Username, profile, and avatar
  • Game statistics, win/loss records, and rating
  • Leaderboard entries
  • Match history and completed puzzles
  • Friend connections, friend chat, and pending challenges
  • Preferences and settings
  • Push notification tokens
  • Authentication credentials

What Does Not Get Deleted

Being straight about the exceptions:

  • Your purchase record. If you bought Duelo Pro, the transaction belongs to Apple or Google, not to us, and we can't remove it from your store account. It also means a Pro purchase can be restored if you make a new account on the same store account.
  • Aggregate and anonymised data that is no longer linked to you — for example, counts used to balance a puzzle's difficulty.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, and records needed for fraud prevention or security. We keep these only as long as required.

This Is Permanent

Account deletion cannot be undone. Progress, statistics, and friendships are not recoverable, and we cannot restore an account after the fact. You are welcome to create a new one, but it starts from zero.

This policy is written to satisfy the GDPR, the CCPA, Google Play's data-safety requirements, and Apple's App Store privacy requirements.
